Hamdard University Bangladesh Celebrates Its Historic First Convocation
Hamdard University Bangladesh proudly marked a historic milestone by hosting its first-ever convocation on 31 January 2026 (Saturday) at its permanent campus in Hamdard Nagar, Gazaria, Munshiganj. The grand ceremony symbolized a new chapter in the university’s journey toward academic excellence and national development.
Established in 2012 by its visionary founder Dr. Hakim Md. Yusuf Harun Bhuiyan, Founder of Hamdard Bangladesh, the university has consistently worked to promote quality higher education grounded in values, innovation, and social responsibility. The first convocation stood as a reflection of this long-standing commitment.
1,754 Graduates Receive Degrees
During the convocation ceremony, a total of 1,754 graduates from various faculties were officially awarded their degrees. In recognition of outstanding academic performance, gold medals and special academic awards were presented to exceptional students, celebrating their dedication, perseverance, and excellence.

The convocation was presided over by Professor Dr. A. F. M. Khalid Hossain, Honorable Adviser, Ministry of Religious Affairs, who attended the event as the representative of the Honorable Chancellor. His presence added dignity and significance to this landmark occasion.
